Steven Taub focuses his time on venture investments in the advanced manufacturing space, including areas such as 3D printing, robotics, and “smart manufacturing” software and analytics. He was previously part of the Energy Ventures team where he led GE’s investments in Ioxus, 1366 Technologies, GMZ Energy, and Arctic Sand. Steve joined GE in 2006 as Senior Vice President of Investment Strategy at GE Energy Financial Services, a unit of GE Capital. Earlier in his career he created and led the electric power technology research practice at IHS-CERA, and he has also worked at U.S. Department of Energy and Northrup Grumman Corp. Steve earned a master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Technology and Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University. Originally from Long Island NY, Steve has lived in the Boston area since 1997.
