Advances in manufacturing continue at a significant pace. Examples include the introduction of additive manufacturing into industrial production, interest in the digital twin for manufacturing operations, and machine learning for process optimization using data. This presentation will describe research efforts on: 1) combining additive, metrology, and machining in hybrid manufacturing and the associated digital twin implications; and 2) machine learning for milling stability. It will also describe training efforts to support the current and next generation workforce.
