Bob McWard is the Vice President of Central Region Operations for Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RI&S), a business of Raytheon Technologies. He oversees three major factory locations with more than 1000 employees supporting multiple programs and businesses. Bob is responsible for successful program execution, including strategy and investment planning to support future growth of domestic and global business. He is also driving growth and competitive advantage through deployment of affordable, agile manufacturing technologies, lean processes and facilities optimization.
Prior to his current position, McWard was the General Manager for the Consolidated Manufacturing Center in McKinney, TX, overseeing the operations and cross-functional teams supporting Raytheon Company’s Space and Airborne Systems business prior to Raytheon Company’s merger with United Technologies Corporation in 2020. McWard has 22 years of experience in operations, supply chain management, mission assurance and engineering within the defense industry.
Prior to joining Raytheon, McWard served in the United States Army Corps of Engineers attaining the rank of captain. McWard’s military responsibilities included platoon leader, assistant brigade engineer, and battalion adjutant in the 82d Airborne Division.
McWard graduated from Tulane University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He is a graduate of Raytheon Technologies Leadership Excellence Program.
