Industrial Metaverse: Virtual Manufacturing Engineering

Virtual Reality (VR), eXtended Reality (XR), and other spatial computing topics get a lot of attention in the realm of workforce training, just-in-time work instructions, customer marketing, digital twin visualization and remote conferencing. However, one area often overlooked is the application of VR and XR for product development and manufacturing process planning. In this presentation we will show how VR and XR are being used to allow engineers, designers, manufacturing method planners, and service process engineers to transcend time and space to experience the products and processes of tomorrow, today.
