Dr. Andrew (Andy) Henderson is the founder of Hendtech LLC. Hendtech is on a mission to improve efficiency and productivity of industrialized operations through innovative technology. Andy has over 15 years of experience in advanced technology, data acquisition, data analysis, and process and system modeling. Prior to starting Hendtech, he was the CTO at a start-up where he oversaw development of an AI-based analytics engine. He has held roles within Fortune 100 industrial companies that spanned from product testing and development to leading projects that transform manufacturing operations with new and advanced technology. Andy is actively engaged in research and academic communities. He is a Lecturer at Clemson University where he is working to develop and deliver a new Introduction to Automotive Manufacturing course. He is the Chair of the External Advisory Board for an NSF funded graduate traineeship program at Clemson University called THINKER, an advisor to SC Career Kids, a member of the Greenville Technical College BS in Advanced Manufacturing Advisory Board, a community representative for the Future Of Manufacturing Network: Cyberphysical Systems In Machining And Machine Tools at UNCC, and a member of ASME’s Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Group. Additionally, he participates in an advisory committee for SME’s Smart Manufacturing Experience. Andy earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and his PhD in Automotive Engineering from Clemson University.
