Dayton Horvath provides strategic advice to entrepreneurs, business owners, and executives across numerous industries including chemicals and materials, semiconductor, automotive, aerospace and defense, and diversified industrials for NewCap Partners. In supporting corporate development, merger and acquisition, and financing activities, Dayton specializes in technologies market research and analysis in advanced manufacturing. Prior to NewCap Partners, Dayton worked as an industry analyst and consultant with select Fortune 500 corporations and venture-backed startup clients. He maintains deep industry expertise in the areas of additive manufacturing, materials informatics, and advanced materials. As part of his industry coverage, Dayton speaks regularly at international conferences, and is a contributing author at 3D Printing Industry. Prior to consulting, Dayton led the Materials Design and Manufacturing coverage area at Lux Research, a strategic advisory and market research firm. He provided strategic advice and technical expertise on advanced materials, design, and manufacturing technologies to 100+ Innovation 1000 clients. His role involved managing a compelling research agenda, authoring company profiles, analyst insights, and market reports, scouting and interviewing startups, as well as making introductions for clients to those startups. Dayton began his career working with a venture-backed startup called Citrine Informatics, conducting user interviews to better understand the value proposition behind their machine learning materials data platform. Dayton earned his M.S. in Chemistry from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He also graduated from the University of Connecticut as a University Scholar and Honors Scholar with his B.S. in Chemistry, and minors in Business and Materials Science & Engineering.
